Amber is a Partner in our Serious Injury department and specialises in acting on behalf of those who have sustained traumatic brain injuries, polytrauma and psychiatric injuries.
Amber is experienced in pursuing compensation claims against Defendant insurance companies, the Motor Insurers’ Bureau and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, and maintains a good working relationship with them in order to advance the best interests of her clients. Her working style enables her to secure substantial interim payments on account of the claim, which in close liaison with her clients, are then used to address their most urgent needs, such as relieving their financial hardship, appointing a case manager and funding a rehabilitation programme to maximise her clients’ recovery potential.
Amber is experienced in working with the Court of Protection team and Financial Deputies where her clients lack capacity and has successfully applied for the Official Solicitor to act as Litigation Friend in cases where her clients have had no one else able to take on this role, taking those cases to successful completion.
Amber is keen to ensure that her clients remain at the heart of the litigation and that their voice is heard and their needs are met.
During her time with the firm, Amber has secured millions of pounds in compensation on behalf of her clients and is regularly approached to take over cases from clients who originally instructed a different firm of solicitors but who have concerns about the quality of the legal advice they are receiving. She has significant experience in working to get such cases into shape, selecting and instructing the right experts for the Claimant and their injuries and working with the rehabilitation team to ensure that all treatment and therapy avenues have been explored.
