Hugh James secures strategic acquisition for M+A Matting

We’re delighted to have advised M+A Matting on its recent purchase of Millennium Mats UK, an industrial mats business based in Milton Keynes.

Head of our Corporate/Commercial team, Gerallt Jones led the multimillion-pound deal, supported by property Partner Peter Hurn and corporate Senior Associate Campbell McKellar.

A subsidiary of US-headquartered Mountville Mills, Inc., M+A Matting is a leading global manufacturer of industrial floormats with manufacturing facilities in the USA, Belgium and the UK.

Gerallt said:

“We’re thrilled to have secured another successful acquisition for M+A Matting, further solidifying its position in the industrial mats sector. We’re excited to see M+A’s future endeavours in the UK, European and US markets.”

Tyler Fowler, CEO of Mountville Mills, said:

“A big thank you to the Hugh James team for helping us bolster our UK offering with our latest acquisition.

“After working with them previously on our acquisition of Manchester based Milliken Mats in 2022, it was a pleasure to team up again. I’ve particularly valued the level of responsiveness and support they have shown us, especially in working to our time zones in the United States.

“We look forward to continuing our relationship as we work towards expanding our portfolio in the UK.”
