Hugh James Private Wealth team celebrates recognition in Spear’s Tax & Trusts Index

We’re proud to announce that our private wealth expertise has once again been recognised in the prestigious Spear’s Tax & Trusts Index, 2024. Four of our partners have earned “recommended” or “top recommended” rankings in the latest list, published online today.

Matthew Evans, Head of Private Wealth, Roman Kubiak and Victoria Jones have been recognised in the Contentious Trust Lawyer category, and Catrin Wigley has been acknowledged in the Probate and Wills Lawyer category.

Commenting on this achievement, Matthew Evans said:

“We are thrilled to be featured once again in the Spear’s 500. It’s an honour to be listed among such esteemed professionals, and this recognition further highlights the exceptional advice and service we offer to clients across the UK and internationally.”

Our Private Wealth group offers a comprehensive range of services, drawing on a wide array of specialisations. With teams located across Cardiff, London, Manchester and Southampton, our experts lead in areas such as Wills and Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates Administration, Private Wealth Disputes, Court of Protection and Family Law.

Additionally, the firm is supported by a group of Independent Financial Advisers, fully regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), who are equipped to assist with broader wealth planning and asset management strategies. This holistic, full-service approach ensures that clients’ private wealth and financial needs are managed seamlessly under one roof, avoiding the complexity of coordinating multiple advisers.

Spear’s recognises the top advisers globally for high-net-worth individuals. The rankings, which are published annually, are based on peer nominations, client feedback, phone and in-person interviews, data provided by firms, and research conducted by the Spear’s editorial and research teams.
