Hugh James advises Pobl Group on strategic land acquisition for affordable housing development

We’re pleased to announce our role in advising longstanding client, Pobl Group, on the acquisition of land at Clordir Road, Pontlliw. The newly acquired site will be used for the development of 31 affordable homes in Swansea, supporting much-needed housing solutions in the area.

Led by Senior Associate Aimee Srdic and Partner Caroline O’Flaherty, both of our Commercial Property team, the transaction marks another successful collaboration between Hugh James and Pobl Group. The development, supported by the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant Program, will play a vital role in expanding affordable housing options in the community.

Speaking about the transaction, Senior Associate Aimee Srdic said:

“We’re delighted to have advised Pobl on this acquisition, which we have been working on for several years. Pobl is a valued, longstanding client, and we are thrilled that this project will bring much-needed affordable housing to the local community.”

Daniel Lloyd, Head of Land and Strategic Projects at Pobl Group, expressed his appreciation for the legal expertise provided by Hugh James:

“Hugh James led on all legal aspects of our land transaction at Clordir Road, Pontlliw. Aimee and the team delivered a comprehensive, responsive service, enabling the transaction to proceed smoothly. Aimee’s professionalism, knowledge, and concise advice were key to the successful completion.”
