Hugh James welcomes MOD action on RAF helicopter exhaust tests

Our expert military department, who are representing over 50 current and former serving military personnel affected by toxic exhaust emissions from RAF helicopters, has welcomed the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) decision to conduct long-overdue tests, as reported by The Times today. To date, we have served over 20 Letters of claim upon the MOD with more to follow over the next few weeks.

Louisa Donaghy, Senior Associate of our specialist military department, said:

“We are pleased to see that the MOD is finally taking steps to investigate the issue of toxic exhaust emissions – a measure that in our experience should have been undertaken years ago. These men and women have suffered serious health issues as a result of their service to their country, and they deserve swift and fair resolution of their claims.”

“While this announcement is a positive step, it is long overdue. We urge the MOD to resolve the remaining claims quickly and fairly, without forcing our clients to endure a lengthy and costly litigation process for these individuals who have already given so much in service to their country.”
