We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new non-contentious Construction Partner, Jamie Swan, who will be based in our London office.
Jamie brings with her 12 years of experience specialising in non-contentious matters and providing construction and engineering advice to a wide range of business clients including developers, retailers, funds and other institutional investors.
Her strong presence in the London commercial property and construction network has seen her hosting industry events and seminars in the City and publishing a range of articles including “Brexit-Proofed? A practical guide to safeguarding construction contracts after Brexit” in the Property Law Journal in 2017.
Jamie’s arrival in our ever-growing London office is a significant appointment, complementing our well-established property and corporate/commercial teams and strengthening the multi-disciplinary offering we provide our business clients.
Her extensive experience in non-contentious construction projects is a major boost for our firm’s 10-strong construction team, as demand for non-contentious construction advice continues to rise across the UK.
Speaking about the strategic appointment, Divisional Director of Business Services, Ioan Prydderch, said:
“Jamie is a highly regarded expert in non-contentious construction law, and we’re thrilled to have her on board. Her expertise strengthens our ability to support our clients at every stage of construction projects and positions us perfectly to meet growing demand in London.”
Speaking of joining the team and her arrival, Jamie commented:
“I have been impressed from afar by Hugh James’ continued growth nationally as well as in the construction and infrastructure sector for some time and am delighted to be joining Hugh James as they continue to expand their London presence. I look forward to adding further to Hugh James’ already well-respected Construction, Infrastructure and Projects team with a focus on expanding the non-contentious offering within London.”
