Leading law firm Hugh James has unveiled a partnership with former Great Britain wheelchair rugby captain and award-winning TV presenter Steve Brown, marking their shared commitment to supporting individuals who have suffered serious injuries.

The London 2012 Paralympian’s remarkable journey and rise to one of the UK’s household names has seen him overcoming the adversity of serious injury, falling from a balcony in 2005 before a forced retirement due to injury ahead of the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games. His lived experience combined with an approachable can-do attitude is a natural fit for the specialist serious injury practice, supporting thousands of clients who have experienced trauma and life-altering injuries.

Steve will contribute his expertise and insights to various initiatives undertaken by Hugh James, working with our specialist lawyers to shine a light on their areas of work, including attending and showcasing our annual conferences. His involvement will extend beyond his role as a TV presenter, working closely with our lawyers and their clients on a personal level to bring a different perspective following life-changing events and getting involved in firm-wide employee initiatives supporting diversity and inclusion.

“We are thrilled to have Steve Brown join our team,” said Steve Webber, Head of Hugh James’ Individual Client Services Division. “With his unique perspective and inspiring story, there is no one better to help us to connect with those who have been seriously injured and ensure they have access to the specialist care and advice they need.”

Steve Brown added: “I am delighted to be working with Hugh James. Their dedication to helping those who have suffered life-changing injuries aligns perfectly with my own passion to inspire and support individuals facing adversity. In working together, we want to make a real difference to the lives of those who need it most.”
