Hugh James Partner appointed to Board of British Gymnastics


Tracey Singlehurst-Ward, a Partner in our Dispute Resolution team, has been appointed to the Board of British Gymnastics, joining as the Board’s Welsh nomination.

Tracey is an experienced Non-Executive Director, having previously sat as the Legal and Governance Director on the Board of Welsh Gymnastics for 8 years.
She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her legal background at Hugh James, where she practises in general commercial and company disputes, with specialist expertise in defamation, privacy and media, intellectual property, and sports law.

Tracey works for clients ranging from individuals to multi-national private and public companies such as the Welsh Ministers and Welsh Water, whom she routinely advises in relation to contentious matters.

Commenting on her latest Board appointment, Tracey said:

“I’m incredibly passionate about gymnastics and had a wonderful experience sitting on the Board of Welsh Gymnastics, so I’m delighted to take up this position on the British Board. I am looking forward to bringing my passion and my knowledge around governance and legal aspects to the board, to ensure we address our current challenges and set a clear and ambitious plan for the future.”
