Hugh James has been instructed to help those involved in the Treforest Industrial Estate explosion

Following the tragic incident that took place at Treforest Industrial Estate on Severn Road on Wednesday 13th December, we will be supporting and awaiting the outcome of the joint investigation currently underway by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Police and the Health and Safety Executive.

Cari Sowden-Taylor, joint head of Serious Injury at Hugh James in Cardiff, commented:

We will be working with the emergency services in order that we can try to find the cause of this tragic event to ensure that the families of those involved are given answers as to how this very sad incident could have arisen and of course to ensure that no one else has to go through the same circumstances.

Our clients will want to know how such a devastating explosion could be allowed to happen; and why there were inadequate warnings that prevented them from being able to avoid the impact. Those who survived the blast will also want all assistance to enable them to recover from the shock and distress this caused.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected, their families and the wider community of Treforest.
