We are proud to announce a new partnership with the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT), becoming the charity’s official Legal Support Service partner in Wales.
The partnership is designed to ensure that families of children with acquired brain injuries, both at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and in the wider Welsh community, can access expert, high-quality legal advice when they need it most.
Through the partnership, our legal team will provide guidance and representation to families facing the challenges of a child’s brain injury, helping them navigate claims and secure specialist support and appropriate compensation. The partnership underscores the firm’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
Cari Sowden-Taylor, Partner and joint head of our Serious Injury team said:
“At Hugh James, we’ve spent decades supporting children and adults as they rebuild their lives after acquiring a brain injury. We understand just how devastating these injuries can be – not only for the individual, but for the whole family. Our approach has always been to combine legal expertise with genuine compassion, helping families access rehabilitation and to secure the long-term support they need.
“We’re proud to partner with the Child Brain Injury Trust in Wales as their chosen Legal Support Service provider. The charity plays a vital role in supporting families across the UK, and it’s a privilege to contribute to their mission both at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales and in communities across the country. This partnership gives us the opportunity to work closely with the CBIT team, ensuring families receive timely, specialist legal advice when they need it most.”
Amelia Larard, Head of Marketing and Fundraising at the Child Brain Injury Trust, commented:
“We are delighted to have Hugh James as our chosen Legal Support Service provider in Wales, supporting our work at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital. This partnership strengthens our support for families within the region, providing a strong collaborative approach will ensure that families affected by childhood acquired brain injury have access to expert legal services, should they need them.”
The partnership officially launched on 1 April 2025, with both organisations committed to working together to raise awareness and support families affected by childhood brain injuries. We are looking forward to supporting CBIT’s wider fundraising efforts and community initiatives across Wales.
