We are proud to announce our advisory role in the expanding partnership between Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Swansea Building Society for the 2025 season.
As part of the agreement, the Main Pavilion Lounge at Sophia Gardens will be renamed the Swansea Building Society Lounge, serving as a vibrant hub for matchday activities and community and commercial initiatives. The partnership further supports the Swansea Building Society Cohesion Cup, aimed at engaging cricketers from diverse backgrounds.
The new deal, a collaboration of community engagement and shared heritage, lands at a pivotal time for the game, with our Head of Sport, Mark Loosemore, advising Glamorgan County Cricket Club on their Welsh Fire Hundred franchise investment process.
Mark’s expertise in sponsorship deals, spanning governing bodies, elite athletes and Premier League sports clubs, was highly valued by Head of Commercial at Glamorgan County Cricket Club, Ed Rice, who led renegotiations with Swansea Building Society.
Speaking of the deal, Ed Rice commented:
“The continued support of Swansea Building Society is fantastic news for the club. I’m excited to see the impact this partnership can have for both parties.”
On working with us, Ed Rice added:
“Our close working relationship with Mark Loosemore and the sport sector team at Hugh James is crucial to the Club. Mark’s background and experience are well suited to support our commercial goals, and we’re grateful for his counsel on our latest deal with Swansea Building Society.”
Mark Loosemore commented:
“GCCC’s deal with Swansea Building Society is great news, set to benefit cricket fans and players as well as breaking down barriers to participation for those from diverse communities. Congratulations to Ed Rice and everyone involved at the Club.”
