Hugh James supports Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ for landmark collaboration with Hilton

We have advised Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) on the completion of an exclusive strategic partnership with Hilton – positioning their boutique hotel offering alongside the growing Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and LXR brands.

A long-standing client of Partner Mark Loosemore, SLH was established more than 30 years ago for the independently-minded traveller and now boasts a collection of more than 540 boutique hotels in over 90 countries.

Hilton For the stay - Small luxury hotels of the world

The landmark collaboration is set to dramatically expand the luxury experiences offered by Hilton, with their guests gaining access to hundreds more luxury hotels in some of the most sought-after destinations around the world.

The exclusive partnership has been hailed as a “win-win relationship” for both brands by Shaun Leleu, Chairman of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Mr Leleu expressed the significance of the partnership for SLH, calling it “a game changer for independently owned hotels on a global scale.”

Mark Loosemore led the deal, supported by solicitor Rebecca McCarthy.

Mark has represented SLH for more than five years, commenting:

“The exclusive partnership between Hilton and Small Luxury Hotels of the World is an exciting move for SLH. As a key client, I’ve watched them go from strength to strength over the past five years. The new Hilton partnership is a huge coup for SLH’s independently owned member hotels. I am thrilled to have played a role in securing what looks to be a fantastic opportunity.”

Speaking of working with Mark and Rebecca at Hugh James, Mr Leleu commented: “This is the second pioneering deal that SLH has done with major US hotel listed groups. Apart from the legal advice necessary to close this deal, Mark and his team’s understanding of our business and the complex mechanics of such a transaction were critical to success.”
