Lynn Yeates, partner in the Specialist Asbestos team has been instructed by the son Andrew Halladay whose father Ronald Halladay has died from an asbestos related disease – namely mesothelioma.
We believe that Mr. Andrew’s father, Mr Ronald Halladay was exposed to asbestos whilst working for J I Thornycroft (subsequently Vosper Thornycroft) in Southampton which was a major shipbuilding/repairing firm in the area and one of Southampton’s largest employers during the 1950’s 60’s and 70’s. The late Ronald Halladay was employed by them as a machinist between approximately 1953 and 1961.
Mr Ronald’s son is now appealing for help from someone who worked at Vosper Thornycroft both at the Woolston Yard and Southampton docks at the same time as his father who can provide information as to the type of work that the late Mr Halladay undertook and how he would have encountered asbestos.
Anyone who worked with Mr Mr Ronald, or who worked for the J I Thornycroft (subsequently Vosper Thornycroft) in Southampton in the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s, who has information regarding asbestos exposure should contact Lynn Yeates at Hugh James on 02920 391 100.
Armed with the experience and specialist knowledge that is required for this complex area, Hugh James has helped thousands of people who have been either injured or developed an illness as a result of their work.
