The specialist asbestos claims team have been instructed by Mrs Beryl Williams to investigate a civil compensation claim following her husband’s diagnosis with and death from mesothelioma.
Mesothelioma is an asbestos-related cancer, the only known cause of which is previous exposure to asbestos. In order to pursue a successful civil compensation claim, we need to be able to demonstrate how Mr Williams came into contact with asbestos during his working life.
William John Williams (John) worked at Standard Box/Delyn Cartons as a printing assistant and then printer between 1960 and 1980.
Standard Box/Delyn Cartons were originally located on Brown Street, Pentrebach and then moved to the Pontygwindy Industrial Estate. We believe that Mr Williams may have suffered asbestos exposure whilst working for this company.
He then worked for Celtic Newspapers as a printer between 1980 and 1990.
Celtic Newspapers were located on the Pant Industrial Estate, Dowlais. We believe that Mr Williams may have also suffered asbestos exposure whilst working for this company.
Mrs Williams is now appealing for help from former colleagues who might be able to shed some light on the use of asbestos in the factories and how Mr Williams might have come into contact with the harmful substance.
