Phurnacite
Hugh James is the lead solicitor acting on behalf of hundreds of
ex workers and families of ex workers of the Phurnacite Plant in
Abercwmboi in South Wales. We have been appointed by the High
Court to represent the ex workers in a group action for alleged
respiratory disease and cancer claims.
The allegations arise out of the working conditions at the
Phurnacite plant which produced smokeless
fuel.

original test cases for the chest disease and the vibration white
finger claims, resulting in the Government paying out many millions
